Preamble

Ahead is a critical moment in the history of the Land, at a time where humanity must choose its future. We must acknowledge that the world becomes ever more interdependent and fragile as time passes. Leading to a cliché of danger and promise for the future faces of the world.

We must recognize that, we are a family human beings, a global community with a common destination. We must seek to promote and to generate a sustainable global society which respects nature, universal human rights, economic justice and a culture of the peace. To arrive at this ideal, it is imperative that we, as a human race, take responsibility for our actions in order to live in both a healthier environment and to preserve such an environment for future generations.

Nature, Our Home humanity is part of a vast universe in evolution. Nature, our home, is alive with a community of only life. The forces of the nature make existence a demanding and uncertain adventure, but nature provides the essential conditions for the evolution of life. The well-being of humanity depends on the preservation of a healthy biosphere and all its ecological systems, a rich variety of plants and fertile animals, ground, pure waters and clean air. The global environment with its finite resources is a common concern of all the people.

The protection of the vitality, diversity and beauty of the Land are a sacred duty.

The Global Situation

The dominant standards of production and consumption are causing atmospheric devastation, a reduction of resources and a “holocaust” of unique species. Communities are being ruined. The benefits of the rich and poor development are not being divided correctly and the irrigation ditch between them is increasing. The violent injustice, poverty, ignorance and conflicts have increased and are cause of great suffering. The growth without precedents of the population human being has overloaded the systems ecological and social. The bases of the global security are threatened. These trends are dangerous, but not inevitable.

Challenges For the Future

The choice is ours: to form a global alliance to take care of Land and ones of the others, or to risk our destruction and that of life. They are necessary basic changes of our values, institutions and ways of life. We must understand that, when the basic necessities will be reached, the human development will return to its normal and healthy level. We have the knowledge and the technology necessary to supply to all and to reduce our impacts to the environment. The emergence of a global civil society is creating a new hope of the development of a democratic and human world. Our ambient, economic challenges, politicians, social and spirituals are linked, and together we can forge influents solutions.

Universal responsibility

To carry through these aspirations, we must decide to live with a direction of universal responsibility. We are of course, at the same time, citizens of different nations and of world uniquely different local and global dimensions. However everyone share the responsibility of protecting and preserving the gift of nature and its future well-being. We must acknowledge our global responsibility, and realise that global civil society is nothing new, but is something that has recently been realised for the greater good of humanity.
